Originating in Antwerp, Belgium in 1987 Wim Somers and Patrick Hoet founded Theo. The two founders, Optometrists themselves, were tired of seeing their customers settling for mainstream, flat, spectacles that lacked personality. After releasing there first set of models they made a splash in the industry, and the enthusiasm this generated fast became contagious. Little by little, country by country, Theo as a stylistic brand have won over the hearts of many spectacle wearers. Theo has collaborated with my designers over the years to bring unrivalled, striking and bold style to the eye wear industry. Crucially this has been established while maintaining excellent build quality using materials as unique as Aluminium.
