Technological advances have meant that in almost all occasions we can accommodate a patient in contact lenses.

WHAT CONTACT LENS OPTIONS ARE Available TO ME?

Contact lenses are a little like a pair shoes and trainers. They may both be the exact same size and measurement but they fit completely differently. Below is a breakdown of the key types of soft contact lenses that we offer at Sage Opticians. All soft contact lenses are available in differing materials, our clinicians in store will help choose what materials and lens type is best suited to meet your needs. This list is not exhaustive:

Daily Disposables

These contact lenses are worn once and then thrown away. There is no hassle with cleaning the lenses, and as a result there is a slightly more reduced risks of contact lens related complications. They are available in most prescriptions, but may not be suitable for patients with more complex visual needs. Reassuringly they are a recyclable product.

​Reusable Contact lenses

A fantastic option for patients who looking for a slightly more cost effective option or have slightly more complex visual needs. Reusable lenses are available in two-weekly options and four-weekly options. They require a greater compliance from patients compared to daily disposable lens wearers as a cleaning regime must be implemented to ensure lenses are cleaned properly to avoid complications.

​Toric Lenses (For Astigmatism)

Years ago patients who had an astigmatism (elliptical nature of the front transparent window of our vision) were told that they were not suitable for contact lens wear. This is no longer the case. Sage Opticians offer daily, reusable, multifocal and extended range (XR - high astigmatism) correction contact lenses these patients with the high definition vision they desire.

​Multifocal 

Latest advances have meant that that patients who require a prescription for both near vision and distance vision tasks are able to wear contact lenses that provide the clarity they need. They are available in daily, reusables, and toric options also. Our Optometrists in store are confident multi-focal contact lens fitters dedicating time and due diligence to make sure we meet your visual demands.
